Late to the Party: Google Joins Twitter

Google iconTwitterWell, better late than never... I guess. Google joined Twitter yesterday, a full two years after the instant messaging-meets-microblogging channel was born.

Google joins a growing number of companies on Twitter now - a recent move that doesn't impress all of the early adopters of Twitter, those who may prefer to keep the real-time messaging channel for personal mini-blog posts such as "I'm waiting for a bus" and "I just drank lots of water before going to bed." (I am NOT making those up!!)

My company teaches businesses how to leverage Twitter for extending your brand awareness, creating "fan-sumers," listening to what your consumers are saying and much more.

You shouldn't be ignoring Twitter as a silly-sounding fad, really. Twitter was one of the top 3 fastest-growing social media channel in 2008; soaring in number of users by more than 300%!
